Our Faith & Community

At St Pius X, our Catholic faith is at the heart of who we are and how we live together as a community. Inspired by the charism of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart and the example of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, our school motto, “Christ in All,” calls us to recognise the presence of Christ in every person and to treat each other with dignity, compassion and respect.

We nurture a welcoming faith community where students, staff and families are invited to grow in their relationship with God and with one another. Through prayer, liturgy, reflection and the celebration of the Church’s seasons and traditions, we create opportunities for everyone to experience and express their faith.

The Gospel values of love, justice, compassion, forgiveness and service guide our relationships and our actions. Following the example of Jesus and the Josephite tradition, we encourage our students to notice the needs of others, respond with generosity and courage, and recognise that even small acts of kindness can make a difference. As St Mary of the Cross MacKillop said “Never see a need without doing something about it.”

Our faith is not simply something we learn about. It is something we are called to live each day, as we strive to see Christ in All.

Our Caring Community

A special strength of St Pius X is our warm, welcoming and inclusive community. We value the strong partnerships between students, families, staff, parish and the wider community, recognising that together we create a place where every child can feel known, valued and supported.

There are many opportunities for families to connect, participate and contribute to the life of our school. Throughout the year, our community comes together for celebrations, liturgies, social events, learning experiences, fundraising and service opportunities. Families are also warmly encouraged to become involved through volunteering, supporting classroom and school activities, and participating in our Parents & Friends.

From welcoming new families and celebrating Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Grandparents’ Day, to sharing in liturgies, excursions, community events and fundraising, these experiences strengthen our sense of belonging and help build lasting relationships.

At St Pius X, faith and community go hand in hand. Together, we seek to create a caring and hope-filled community where everyone is welcomed, everyone belongs and we strive to see Christ in All.
