Celebration of Learning
Twice a year, families are invited to join us for our Celebration of Learning, a special opportunity to visit classrooms and share in their child's learning journey. These sessions showcase the knowledge, skills and achievements students have developed throughout the term, while providing meaningful opportunities for students to reflect on their growth and take pride in their work. Celebration of Learning strengthen the partnership between home and school and highlight the vibrant learning culture that exists across our St Pius X community.
Athletics & Wellbeing
At St Pius X, we believe participation in sport and physical activity supports the development of healthy, confident and resilient learners. Students are provided with a variety of opportunities to develop their skills, build teamwork and experience success through both competitive and recreational activities.
- Students belong to one of our two school houses: Costello (Blue) or MacKillop (Gold).
- All students participate in a skills-based Athletics Program, developing running, long jump, relay and ball skills.
- Students take part in our annual Whole School Cross Country Carnival and Whole School Athletics Carnival.
- Nominated students aged 9-12 years have the opportunity to represent St Pius X at Catholic Zone and representative sporting carnivals.
- Students engage in specialised Gymnastics, Dance and Body, Mind and Wellbeing programs throughout the year.
- Students in Years 3-6 participate in a Catholic Schools Interschool Sport competition each Friday during Term 2.
- Interschool sporting opportunities include Netball, Oztag, Newcomb and Soccer.
These opportunities encourage students to develop physical skills, teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship while fostering a lifelong enjoyment of health, wellbeing and active participation.
Christmas and Dance Concerts
Throughout the year, students have opportunities to showcase their talents and celebrate learning through special performances and community events. Our annual Dance Concert and poetry festival provide students with the chance to build confidence, creativity and teamwork as they perform for family and friends. At the end of the year, our Christmas Concert brings the school community together in celebration, featuring music, singing and performances that reflect the joy and spirit of the Christmas season. These events create lasting memories for students and families while strengthening our vibrant school community.
